How long does flu last?

Flu is also called Influenza in scientific terms. This three-letter word can make you feel extremely low and take you straight to bed with heavy dizziness. People suffer from flu, especially when there is weather transition or any allergen present around to trigger the embedded allergy. This is characterized by recurrent sputum-filled coughing with sneezing and nose dripping.   • Headache and body ache accompany the above-stated symptoms every time.

We are living in the era of pandemics. Today, every person is educated enough to save themselves from being infected. Well, the spread of flu is just like that of Covid-19. The cough and sneezing droplets may fall onto some other people who might be sitting next to you and ultimately will be left infected just as you.  It can also spread in case a healthy person comes in physical contact with the infected one or uses the objects like tissue paper, towel, spoon or glass that are under use of an infected person. 

To prevent the spread of this viral disease, it is better to wear a mask when you are ill and also when you are near an infected person. It is also advised to cover your mouth with your elbow when you are about to sneeze and avoid recurrent touching of your face or nose to stop the expansion flu.

Wash your hands regularly and take good care of personal hygiene as well. Taking rest for an ample amount of time will also improve your health, especially when suffering from flu. It is better to perform home remedies like having honey dissolved in hot water. Increase your intake of fluids. Last but not least, if you feel that your nose is choked and you are unable to breathe, it is good to apply vicks on your forehead and throat. It will not treat the flu but make you feel better than before.
